Welcome... reaching out for support is a brave first step. We all need help at times, especially when life feels difficult or overwhelming. By beginning to talk, confront what’s happening, and explore your thoughts and feelings, you open the door to positive change, greater well-being, and the life you truly deserve.
As an experienced professional dedicated to helping others, I will support you in achieving the outcomes you are looking for. Together, we will build a strong, trusting relationship that allows you to navigate challenging experiences and take meaningful steps toward a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.
Together... we will clarify your goals, build resilience and personal growth and explore choices and opportunities. We will regularly review our progress to ensure it remains aligned with your needs and expectations.
Throughout my work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing meaningful, life-changing moments. I draw on a wide range of therapeutic approaches to offer support tailored to your unique needs.
I have current availability for daytime and evening appointments. Please get in touch to discuss when we could meet.
I work with people who self-refer or are using their insurance policy to cover counselling fees. I am a Recognised Healthcare Professional with AXA, Allianz, Aviva and BUPA - please ask for details.

Counselling offers a space for reflection, allowing people to explore their personal strengths, feelings, thoughts, aspirations and limitations.
Opening up and talking to a professional can give people deeper insights about their reactions and responses to certain situations to understand not just how we are behaving, but why.
Do you wonder why certain patterns keep showing up in your life?
What would it feel like to finally understand what’s really driving your reactions?
Have you ever paused to ask: what do I need?
Maybe these aims resonate with what you are looking for. Would you like to...
We will... work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. When appropriate, I offer gentle challenges, thoughtful prompts, and reflective observations to help you make meaningful connections, gain insight, and experience those ‘lightbulb’ moments. This process can deepen your self-awareness and positively influence many areas of your life..
Opening up for the first time can feel daunting, but many people find relief by sharing what’s been weighing on them. Carrying unresolved issues can be even more distressing and may hold you back from living life to the fullest. Perhaps now is the time to begin making that change?
Are you curious about Autism and ADHD?... we can explore the signs and symptoms you're experiencing, discuss support options, and develop strategies to help you manage a diagnosis or a potential diagnosis, effectively.
Credentials... I have a 20-year background in business, followed by 14 years of experience as a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Counselling Supervisor, and Student Mentor. I integrate tools from counselling, psychology, neuroscience, behavioural strategies, and people skills, supported by a deep understanding of diverse workplace environments.
Meeting online... I offer live online sessions via Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp video, providing a convenient and effective way to access counselling support with excellent outcomes. Meeting online lets you connect from the comfort of your chosen space, whether at home, work, or even while travelling, without the need for travel time or expenses. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a quiet, secure environment. To get started, we can have an initial 20-minute introduction session free of charge before scheduling regular meetings.
Opening up for the first time
This can feel daunting, but many people find relief by sharing what’s been weighing on them.
Our first session is an important opportunity to establish a foundation for our work together. We will start with some introductions, I encourage you to share your name and any preferred pronouns.
Understanding Your Needs
We can talk about what brought you to counselling and what you hope to achieve. This is your opportunity to express your concerns, goals, and any specific issues you're facing. I may ask questions to gain a clearer understanding of your situation, including your background, current stressors, and any previous experiences with counselling.
Assessment
This is an ongoing process. I will follow what you are saying, ask questions to clarify, and create a space for open and honest conversations. I do not use forms, paperwork, score measures or other forms of assessing you. We gauge where you are at through the working relationship and the dialogue between us.
Setting Goals
Together, we will begin to identify your goals for counselling. This may involve discussing what the outcome of our sessions looks like for you and how we can work towards those aims.
Questions
You are welcome to ask any questions or voice any concerns you might have. This applies to the first session and at any point during our work together. It is best to raise these if they arise so that they can be addressed and worked through in a healthy and supportive way.
Reflection
After our session, take some time to reflect on your feelings about the experience. It’s important that you feel comfortable and safe as we begin this journey together.
Remember, the first session is just the beginning. It’s normal to feel a range of emotions, and it’s perfectly okay to take your time to open up. My goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings.
We can continue to meet on a regular basis for as long as you need.

Trust is important because if we are going to work together, you need to feel safe enough to open up.
Trust is about feeling supported and in good hands. When you feel safe you can talk with honesty about what you are going through. This honesty helps you understand yourself and builds self awareness and confidence. Research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship between the client and counsellor is more predictive of counselling outcome than any other factor.
You may feel that opening up makes you vulnerable and that this could be risky. So, maybe you have become used to not really letting people in, or you edit the truth, or you soften it to suit what other people want to hear. This keeps a part of you hidden, never fully acknowledged, hidden in the shadows, maybe wrapped in guilt or shame or the fear of being judged. This can lead to feeling your relationships aren’t as real as you would like them to be and that you are alone with no-one who really knows the whole you. This can lead to all sorts of problems in life, relationships, work, family and even health, or a general sense that life isn’t as fun or fulfilling as it could be.
People often experience a counselling relationship as the first one where they have felt safe enough and not judged to be fully themselves - strengths, challenges and everything in-between. This relationship can be healing and transformative, with a positive impact on the connections in your life outside therapy. Would you like to talk about how we start this process? Please get in touch.
From our first session, you may feel relief because you have connected with someone who hears, sees, and understands you. You may immediately begin to feel more hopeful and less alone. You may feel relief at having got something off your chest or reassured that you have found a therapist you feel comfortable with and that the process has started. You may feel excited or hopeful because this is the first step to reach your goal, or nervous because you’re not sure how the process will go. You may feel unburdened of heavy or difficult emotions, or fearful of letting them out because they may hurt. You may feel worried about crying in front of someone, or longing to feel that it’s ok to cry and not be judged. All these feelings are natural and will be supported.

We can meet for sessions online or by telephone. NHS research and numerous studies have found online counselling to be equally effective as visiting a therapist face to face. Many people prefer online counselling because they find it gives them more flexibility and comfort.
